Park and Surroundings
Scotland is
an ideal country for spending a holiday. Of all the beautiful parts
of the “land of the pipes “ the highlands have undoubtedly the most
dramatic scenery. The varied landscapes are surely overwhelming.
On foot or by car , again and again surprising discoveries
are experienced. Because the scenery is unimaginable. Choosing to
holiday in the Scottish Highlands means to quiet down , to find
peace and quiet. Having been in the Highlands makes it unavoidable
to return.

Central
in the Scottish Highlands you find RANCH CHALET PARK DELNY. A holiday
park consisting of twenty lodges of three different types types Delny Highland Lodges,
Ranch Lodges and Burnside Lodges and absolutely beautifull Lochside Cottage.
The park is
situated in a wooded area about 26 miles north of Inverness the
capital of the Scottish Highlands en close to the Cromarty Firth.
The park is
managed by the Robberts family, a Dutch family, who came to Scotland
in the late seventies. All members of the family are in one way
or another concerned with the running of the park and this means
a strong personal interest. This has probably a lot to do with the
fact that more than fifty percent of the visitors have been once
or more times before. An achievement of which the family is rightly
proud !

Within walking
distance RANCH CHALET PARK has its own loch :Loch Katrina , where
rowing boats are available free . Weekly fly-fishing
permits are available (Weekly fly fishing is available at £15.00
for adults and £12.50 for children).
The park has
its own cosy pub which serves meals and take-a ways so
you don’t have to cook if you don’t want to, while there is ample
opportunity to sample the local whiskies.
The park has
its own pony trekking centre where under qualified supervision the
surrounding area can be surveyed from “horse-back “. Your children
will love the play area and the burn that runs through
the centre of the park.
The Scandinavian style
chalets are fully furnished and have either two or three bedrooms ,
accommodating four, six or eight persons. There is a kitchen so you can cater
for all your needs and obviously there is a bathroom (in the Delny Highland Lodges with bath; in the Highland Ranch Lodges with
shower, while in the Burnside lodges there is a
bath and a shower over the bath) and the Delny
Highland Lodges have electric heating, while the Highland Ranch Lodges and the
Burnside lodges are fully centrally heated , there is a colour TV in
every chalet and the chalets have either a balcony or a patio .Bed linen is
provided and on arrival you will find your lodge lovely and warm with the beds
made (except the extra folding beds) and fresh flowers on the table. The park
has its own launderette.
RANCH CHALET PARKis
uniquely situated to form the ideal base to explore the Highlands
and to help doing so you will find on arrival a booklet with half
a dozen especially prepared trips that bring you in and through
the most magnificent spots . You will experience : old fishing villages,
castles, deer, dolphins ,wild goats , forests , lochs and endless
moors only populated by sheep and islands where tens of thousands
of seabirds have their nesting sites. It is within easy distance
to make a trip to Loch Ness ,Inverness or the Great Glen or you
can “do” a whisky-trail . You can visit Highland Games of which
about forty take place each summer.
